What is Log Forwarding?
The automated transmission of generated log entries from endpoint agents or servers to a centralized log management or SIEM system. Forwarding can occur via secure protocols like TLS over Syslog or HTTPS to maintain transmission integrity and confidentiality. Masking or filtering is often applied at the forwarding agent level to prevent sensitive data from traversing the network.
